Director, US Marketing – TAVI

Location: Plymouth, MN

The Opportunity

Abbott’s Structural Heart business exists to restore health and improve quality of life through advanced device and management solutions for structural heart disease.

As the Director of US Marketing – TAVI, you will define and drive the strategic direction, commercial execution, and lifecycle management of Abbott’s TAVI portfolio in the United States. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping market strategy, leading a high‑performing marketing team, and partnering across the organization to accelerate growth in one of Abbott’s most important therapy areas.

What You’ll Do

Leadership

Set the US strategic direction for the TAVI franchise, including annual planning, market development, and competitive positioning.Serve as the primary US voice influencing global TAVI strategy, messaging, and product roadmap.Maintain deep expertise in the TAVI market, including customer needs, clinical trends, competitive dynamics, and product performance.

Commercial Execution

Lead the development and execution of the US marketing plan to drive demand, support the commercial organization, and achieve annual sales goals.Oversee creation of promotional tools, scientific and clinical messaging, sales enablement resources, and customer engagement programs.Collaborate with new product development through sharing customer insights, sales feedback, requirements definition, concept validation, and financial analysis.Ensure alignment and collaboration with Sales, Global Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Pricing, Sales Training, Materials Management, Business Development, and Commercial Excellence.

Cross‑Portfolio Collaboration

Partner with leaders across TAVI, Mitral, and Tricuspid therapies to identify synergies, share best practices, and elevate marketing effectiveness across the Structural Heart portfolio.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-5 brand and product managers.Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross‑functional collaboration.Oversee performance management, engagement, recognition, and professional development.

Operational & Compliance Responsibilities

Deliver on assigned goals within budget and timelines.Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory, quality, and EHS requirements.Travel 30%-40% domestically to support business objectives, meeting and conference support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (MBA or Master’s preferred)10+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing within healthcare, medical devices, or diagnosticsPrior Management Experience of Product ManagersProven success leading high‑performing teamsStrong understanding of medical device technologies, customer dynamics, and sales processesKnowledge of regulations and standards governing medical devicesDemonstrated ability to develop, articulate, and execute strategic plansStrong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to make sound decisions amid competing prioritiesExcellent communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation formatsHigh proficiency with databases, analytics tools, and business software



The base pay for this position is $149,300.00 – $298,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
