Director – Storage Operations

This role reports to Vice President – Storage and is primarily responsible to manage team responsible for 24/7 operations across multiple storage technologies in both private and public clouds. This role is also responsible for providing highest degree of availability working with vendors, build and engineering teams and provide coaching, mentoring help to resources.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage 24/7 storage operations team.Responsible for Incident/problem/change managementPartner with build/engineering teams to make sure operations are running smoothly.Manage resources and provide coaching/mentoring.Single point of contact during India business hours for any escalations, availability issues.Provide key inputs for Re-Engineering opportunities.Drive efficiency across existing technologies.Provide thought leadership on Organization strategy and align operations team with Organization strategy.Partner with various teams and stakeholders to drive project governance & Operational readiness.Work with extended teams across the globeManage relations with multiple vendors.Customer managementProactive thinking to reduce incidents, increase MTTR.Handle service reviews with Sr LeadershipIdentify opportunities for automation and reduce manual intervention include self-healing

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplines; or equivalent bachelor’s degree in a related engineering fieldAt least 12-14 years of working knowledge on one of Storage/Compute/Network technologiesStrong knowledge on Incident/problem/change managementStrong working experience on ITIL processesProven experience on driving 24/7 teams at Enterprise scaleStakeholder management, situation management, presentation skills for Sr. LeadershipStrong communication and inter-personal skillsFocus on customer delivery and excellenceExperience in product life cycle management from build to decommission is a benefit.
