Job Description:

We’re looking for a Director of Compliance Technology to take ownership of the design, development, and delivery of critical solutions for our global compliance organization. You’ll lead initiatives across Trade Surveillance, Communications Surveillance, Control Room, and Conduct & Supervision, ensuring our technology stays ahead of regulatory demands. This is a hands-on leadership role driving development decisions, building robust systems, and working side-by-side with your team and stakeholders to deliver solutions that truly support the business.

You will set technical direction, manage projects, and ensure solutions are data-driven, scalable, and aligned with compliance standards. The role also involves partnering with internal teams and vendors, driving remediation efforts when issues arise, and maintaining transparency throughout the process.

Main Responsibilities

Lead technical strategy and execution for compliance technology products, particularly in trade surveillance.Work hands-on with data and systems, guiding architecture decisions and implementing solutions for surveillance, controls, and compliance workflows.Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, clear milestones, and alignment with business priorities.Collaborate with stakeholders to translate compliance needs into actionable technical priorities and maintain open communication.Drive remediation efforts for compliance technology issues, ensuring root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.Stay ahead of regulatory changes, adapting technology to meet evolving standards across global jurisdictions.Partner with vendors and internal teams to integrate tools and share knowledge across the organization.

Who We’re Looking For

10+ years in technology roles focused on Surveillance, Controls, or Compliance within global financial services.Proven experience in hands-on technical leadership, including architecture, data engineering, and product development.Strong knowledge of trade surveillance technology, and compliance workflows.Experience managing complex projects and delivering results across multiple regions.Familiarity with remediation processes and regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, FCA, ESMA).Excellent communication and leadership skills.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
