The Survey Project Manager leads field and office operations for construction layout projects from initial control networks through final as-built verification. This role bridges design intent and on-site execution, ensuring horizontal and vertical control, staking, and as-built documentation are delivered with absolute accuracy, with direct supervision of crews, budgets, and schedules.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of survey projects, from initial planning and design to execution, data analysis, and project delivery.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.Supervise field and office operations to ensure accuracy in horizontal and vertical control, staking, and documentation.Manage crews, budgets, and schedules effectively.Essential Skills5+ years of progressive land surveying experience with at least 5 years dedicated to construction layout for civil, commercial, or heavy civil projects.NC PLS certification.CST Level III or equivalent accepted for candidates on licensure track.NCDOT Construction Layout Experience (Field & Office).Mastery of robotic total stations, GNSS/VRS, digital levels, and laser scanning/LiDAR.Proficiency in Trimble Business Center, Carlson Survey, and Autodesk Civil 3D.OSHA Construction 30 Certification.Proven track record managing multiple, concurrent construction layout projects exceeding $50k in survey fees.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Geomatics or Land Surveying.Completion of SIT or FS Exam.Experience in boundary surveys, construction stakeout, topographic surveys, and land development.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves a flexible schedule with four days of remote work each week. The role requires working both from home and the office, as well as meeting clients in the field.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
