Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Director Project Management 1 within the Strike Division. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA or Melbourne, FL.

This role is a vital member of the leadership team, which by nature of the position involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive programs, new business, personnel, and technical information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.
This Director will support the Program Management Office supporting both proposal development and program execution efforts across the business area. The Director must be able to switch between strategic proposal activities into execution issue resolution activities between IPTs seamlessly. In addition, this role drives horizontal and vertical integration action between the IPTs to ensure the health of our people, processes and tools are being addressed in our programs. This role ensures risks, issues and critical actions are being addressed down into the organization. This role will also support the top-level development of strategies in alignment with the programs to create IPT level Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the corresponding investment requirements needed, e.g. Capital and NCTA. This role will take on special assignments based on the proposal and change occurring on the program. This position will have full exposure to the breadth of complexity found in portfolio management as it will navigate the program through concurrent program life cycle phases.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience in project and/or program management, or a Master’s degree and 8 years’ experience in project and/or program managementPrior Management / leadership experienceLead proposals – including through division / sector sign-off reviews (i.e. NAR/ICE, C0-011)Experience with LRSP/AOP Demonstrated understanding of program risk, opportunity and issue management processActive in-scope DOD Secret Clearance last investigated within 6 years and the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within reasonable time as determined by business needsPreferred Qualifications:
Master’s DegreeAerospace production program experienceSystems Engineering, change management, configuration management experienceStrong ability to analyze trends and data to report program performanceSalary Ranges by Location
Palmdale, California: $179,600 - $269,400
Melbourne, Florida: $155,100 - $232,700
Salary Range: $155,100.00 - $269,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
