Job Description
The Director of Supply Chain is entrusted with the critical task of developing and executing procurement strategies for raw materials, finished goods, and services. This role involves leading a team of purchasing professionals and collaborating across departments to optimize sourcing, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective inventory and material flow.
ResponsibilitiesLead strategic sourcing and procurement operations.Manage supplier performance, contracts, and risk assessments.Collaborate with engineering, product management, and plant operations.Drive cost reduction initiatives and support new product development.Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely material availability.Report on procurement metrics and corrective actions.Essential SkillsStrategic sourcing expertise with 8–10 years of experience, preferably in electronics or manufacturing.Global supply chain knowledge with 5–7 years in global sourcing or supply chain operations.Team management and leadership experience with 5+ years in managing supply chain or procurement teams.Problem-solving and analytical thinking with demonstrated success in solving supply chain challenges.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in industrial and medical electronics sourcing.Remote work capability with role based anywhere in the U.S.Microsoft Teams proficiency for virtual interviews and team interactions.Certifications such as A.P.P., C.P.M., APICS (CPIM, CIRM), or MBA preferred.Strong computer skills with experience in Windows-based PC programs.Familiarity with electronic commodities for sourcing and supplier negotiations.Ability to work across departments like accounting, engineering, and product management.Work Environment
This position offers a 100% remote work environment with the requirement to travel internationally (Asia, Mexico, or US) once a quarter. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Teams, as all interviews and team interactions will be conducted virtually.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Chatsworth, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $170000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
Eligibility & Enrollment
Benefits available to employees working 30+ hours/week.
Coverage starts first of the month after 30 days from hire date.
