As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Employee Platform: Workforce Technology team, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Job responsibilities

Lead technology and process implementations as solution architect to achieve functional technology objectivesPartner with Data Product and Data Engineer teams on deliver firmwide data strategies for analytics and AI ModelsPartner with Learning Product teams to accomplish the key business deliverables including streamline learn offeringsPartner with Product Delivery Manager and Finance to maintain Jira backlog priorities, roadmap generation, and resource allocationsMake decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresCarry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operationsDeliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domainsInfluence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teamsChampion the firm’s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on team leadership concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years  experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertiseExperience managing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists Experience with Product Owner and Product ManagerExpertise in Agile Methodology including tools like Jira and Jira AlignExperience in architectural design and data modelingExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentExperience in running roadmap planning and resource allocationsPractical cloud native experienceExpertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
