Apex - Director of Sales

 

Apex Energy Solutions is a premier remodeling company specializing in triple-pane windows and doors. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Director of Sales to drive efficiency, accountability, and profitability across our markets.

 

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and scaling Apex’s multi-market sales organization through consistent execution of process, coaching, accountability, and talent development. This role is highly visible and performance-driven, focused on improving close rates, revenue, customer experience, and sales team output while partnering tightly with Operations and Marketing.

 

Travel Requirement: 50-75%

 

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year plus bonus potential

 

Responsibilities

Sales Performance & Results

Own market-level and regional sales outcomes including:Bookings and revenue growthClose rate improvementAverage ticket and product mixFinancing adoptionCancellation reductionSales productivity per repDrive sales discipline and execution through repeatable operating rhythms

Leadership & Coaching

Lead Sales Managers and coach teams through:Field ride-alongsCall reviewsObjection handlingSales training workshopsRole-play and skill developmentHold leaders accountable to standards, numbers, and culture expectations

Process & Standardization

Implement Apex’s sales methodology with consistency across marketsImplement SiroImplement Apex’s 4 week sales training for new hiresEnsure strong execution of: In-home consult structure, closing system and follow-up,financing presentation strategy, CRM and pipeline hygieneEliminate randomness — build a machine

Talent Development & Recruiting

Partner with recruiting and market leadership to hire top sales talentCreate performance expectations and development plans for all sales rolesUpgrade underperformers quickly and professionally to protect team standardsBuild internal bench strength and leadership pipeline

Cross-Functional Alignment

Work closely with: Canvass / Lead Gen teams on appointment quality and conversion. Operations on clean handoffs and expectation setting. Marketing on lead flow performance and feedback loopsDrive a unified customer experience that protects brand reputation Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
• Proven results leading in-home sales teams, ideally in home improvement or remodeling
• Experience managing multi-location sales teams and leaders
• Strong performance coaching, training, and accountability skills
• Comfortable working in a high-growth, high-expectation environment

• Ability to travel up to 75% and lead in the field, not just from a desk

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building sales infrastructure in a scaling company

• Strong understanding of margin, pricing discipline, and commission effectiveness

• Strong CRM fluency and KPI-based management approach
