This Director of Sales will drive Mondelēz International selling efforts across key customers within the Convenience Channel, focused on 7-Eleven. Through the implementation of the Mondelēz International business strategy on assigned business(es) the Director will develop strategies to grow our Biscuit, Confectionery, Bars, and Cakes & Pastries categories using customer specific sales/marketing programs and coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute the customer business strategy.

Develop and implement short- and long-term business strategies and plans for key Convenience customers with focus on 7-Eleven through collaborative relationships and connectivity internally and externally, cultivating strong customer partnership through the joint value creation and business planning processBuild Mondelēz International businesses with key customer(s) as measured by share gains, joint value creation, volume targets, special programs, and new item introductionsContinually analyze all aspects of the business for display, merchandising, pricing and assortment opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on those areas of opportunityMonitor and strategically anticipate competitive activity (both at Customer and in Market), customer specific strategy changes, key marketplace updates and other business-related activitiesInfluence and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute customer business strategiesOwn the P&L to ensure the delivery of MDLZ financial goals and market share gainsLeadership over administering team’s volume and trade promotion spending levels within budget while managing trade dollars as percent of revenue for maximum resultsLead team’s customer category reviews and customer visits, including quarterly/annual reviewsAdvance organizational excellence and employee capabilities through training and employee development, building a diverse and inclusive work environmentWhat you will bring

Education / Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA preferredJob specific requirements:
Minimum of 5-10 years of total Sales and Customer experience, with preference to candidates with prior Convenience Channel and Consumer Packaged Goods direct sales experienceHQ Selling experience a plus. Previous experience with 7-Eleven or other large convenience or retail chain customer is idealExtensive knowledge of industry, category and/or Mondelēz International portfolio specific to categoryStrong P&L and Financial Acumen: understanding of profit and revenue drivers and analysisProficient in Microsoft Office programs and Nielsen; previous experience with Circana/IRI and data analytics a plusAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with Customer, earn trust and respectStrong leadership and people management skillsSuperior interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal) across all levels of an organizationTravel requirements: ~25% travel (annual)
The base salary range for this position is $141,000 to $246,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
