Director of Operations
Position Title: Director of Operations Department: Operations Department Reports To: Assistant General Manager FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt Position Summary: Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Director of Operations at the Legends Global/Salt Palace Convention Center. Under the guidance of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, the Director of Operations is responsible for managing multiple departments including event set-up, housekeeping, engineering, specialty crafts, OSHA safety and electrical for the facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: + Assist the Assistant General Manager in assigned administrative responsibilities, including department budgetary issues. + Responsible for the general operation and maintenance of the facility. + Create and implement facility and departmental policies, rules and regulations. + Develop staffing needs and produce work schedules based on event requirements. + Ensure that all OSHA and Worker Compensation rules and regulations are observed and enforced. + Assign tasks and duties to management and staff personnel as required. + Oversee and implement capital improvement and expansion projects. + Act as key liaison between facility management and other departments. + Assist in the development and administration of departmental and facility budgets. + Interact with other directors and department managers in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures. + Approve requisitions for department expenses. + Develop work in motion studies to enhance labor efficiency. + Is a team member of the accident investigation and documentation team. + All other duties as assigned Experience, Knowledge, & Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + 5 - 7 years facility operations experience. + 2 - 3 years supervisory experience. + The ability to work with people. + Working knowledge of multiple trades. + Excellent written and verbal skills, organizational ability and interpersonal skills. + Bachelor degree in Facility Management preferred. + Experience with CAD systems a plus Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, In-Office, some travel required Wage: $90,000-$110,000 per year depending on experience.
