THE ROLE
Possessing a dual report into the VP of Operations and the VP of Merchandise, the Director of Merchandise plays a critical role in overseeing the marketing, branding and promotion of products at AT&T Stadium. This position requires strong leadership skills in addition to creativity and a keen knowledge of market trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing the business unit buy plan and maintaining open-to-buy plansAssist in the maintenance of margin goals and maintain optimum inventory levelsResponsible for the budgeting of business unitP&L Management and assistance with monthly financialsTrain and develop a staff dedicated to driving the businessRegular communication with merchandise and operational teams at the stadiumAssist in the preparation of RFPs for potential clientsDevelop private label programs where applicableRegular meetings with vendors to review product assortmentsLiaise and develop strong relationships with Client; be the face of Legends with the ClientDevelop the weekly, season, and yearend reviewQUALIFICATIONS
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or merchandising preferred and a minimum of ten years of relevant industry experienceStrong leadership and effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task, take initiative and problem solveStrong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership and management skillsCustomer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of managementPOS experience preferredFormer buying experienceProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointPractice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety trainingAbility to work nontraditional hoursCOMPENSATION
