About the Role:

Wunderkind is seeking an experienced Director of IT to lead our organization's technology strategy and oversee IT operations. This role ensures the alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives, while managing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems, policies, procedures and procurement in conjunction with the CFO. 

A key focus is on ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of our technology solutions. 

As the Director of IT, you will develop and manage a team of skilled Support Engineers, fostering strong and positive relationships with in-office and remote employees, while supporting their technological needs. This role will ensure that Wunderkind and its employees are well-equipped with the tools and resources necessary to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

What you’ll do: 

Identify opportunities to leverage technology for business growth and efficiency. Provide guidance on emerging technology trends and their implications for WKND Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.  Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of all IT systems.  Manage IT support services to maintain high levels of user satisfaction  Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks to increase efficiency and reduce response times. Manage Jira ticket system, ensuring tickets are resolved and updated daily. Provide hands-on desktop support for both Windows and Mac environments. Oversee and support the use of key tools and platforms, including Okta, Google Workspace, Jira, Jamf, Intune, and Zoom.  Manage day-to-day IT requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues. Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees.  Maintain IT documentation, ensuring up-to-date records of processes, procedures, and ISO/SOC compliance requirements. Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues as needed.

Who you are: 

Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support services + team management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences  A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for technological innovation. Strong problem solving, critical thinking, project management and decision-making skill Expertise with IT ticketing and escalation processes  Directory Services and Permissions experience  Strong understanding of Apple enterprise endpoint management concepts (macOS, iOS) Strong hands on experience with, Jira and Confluence, Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom, Slack, and Jamf / Intune  Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs and WAPs)

The base salary range for this role is $160,000- $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
