What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Director of Housekeeping oversees all housekeeping operations in a unionized hotel environment, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, safety, and service throughout guest rooms and public spaces. This role leads a large team of unionized room attendants, housepersons, public area staff, laundry employees, and supervisors while maintaining full compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, setting and maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections, coordinating staffing and work assignments, and ensuring adherence to all safety and OSHA requirements. The Director serves as the primary liaison with union representatives, handling grievances, work rules, scheduling, and employee relations in alignment with the CBA.

The role also involves recruiting, training, coaching, and evaluating team members while fostering a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing work culture. The Director monitors guest satisfaction, responds to service issues, and ensures consistent application of cleaning procedures, brand standards, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications: 3–5+ years of housekeeping leadership experience (union environment preferred), strong knowledge of labor relations and CBA compliance, excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills, ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced setting, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with housekeeping systems. A flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.
