Job Title: Director of Finance Transformation

Job Description

The Director of Finance Transformation will lead strategic initiatives to optimize and innovate financial systems and processes. This role involves overseeing the finance application portfolio, defining key performance indicators, leveraging AI and machine learning for advanced analytics, and driving process transformation across global operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance systems architecture and experience in large-scale ERP implementations.

Responsibilities

Provide expertise across the financial application portfolio in tool design and deployment, ensuring integrity, scalability, and alignment with enterprise finance architecture.Lead integration architecture initiatives, including ETL pipelines, to ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple financial data sources.Partner with IT to optimize the financial data warehouse, ensuring it supports reporting, planning, and compliance requirements.Define and implement standardized financial and operational KPIs to improve decision-making across business units.Build advanced dashboards with drill-down capabilities for leadership visibility into profitability, cash flow, and cost drivers.Identify and apply AI/ML use cases in forecasting, anomaly detection, and finance automation.Implement standardized close procedures, reporting policies, and finance controls across global operations.Partner with operating finance teams to streamline back-office processes through automation, workflow tools, and shared service optimization.Develop and deliver finance training and change management programs to ensure adoption and sustainability.Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, aligning transformation initiatives with growth and profitability strategies.Lead and mentor team members, building a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or consulting experience required, including at least 5 years leading finance transformation initiatives in a complex, global environment.Proven track record with ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, Workday, D365, or equivalent) and consolidation/forecasting tools (BPC, OneStream, Anaplan, deFacto, etc.).Demonstrated experience with data warehousing, finance system architecture, and ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, etc.).Hands-on exposure to Python and AI/ML applications in finance preferred.Strong background in financial planning, KPI design, and performance measurement frameworks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based in Norwalk, CT, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2-3 days onsite. The location is accessible to the South Norwalk train station, and parking expenses are covered by the client. The role involves collaboration across all functions at the Corporate HQ.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $115.00/hr.
