Director of Finance (Hospitality) 1 day Remote
Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead and oversee financial operations for a dynamic organization in North Miami Beach side. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage a diverse team, drive financial planning processes, and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in hospitality and HOA accounting while demonstrating strong leadership and analytical skills. Salary: $135,000 -$155,000 with some stretch possible Bonus: Discretionary 10-20% Benefits: Generous package including percentage of medical paid for employee, vacation, holidays, 401k and other hospitality industry perks and parking. Schedule: M-F; standard business hours; 4 days in Office with 1 day remote available. Location: N Miami Beach area easily accessible from Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood area to Miami. Responsibilities: • Manage and supervise a team of finance professionals, ensuring efficient workflows and accurate reporting. • Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and month-end close activities. • Oversee accounting operations for hospitality and HOA management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Collaborate on the implementation of new financial systems, driving process improvements and system optimization. • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for informed decision-making. • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and journal entries. • Facilitate effective communication between departments to support cohesive financial operations. • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and optimize financial strategies. Requirements • Proven experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within hospitality or HOA accounting. • Strong knowledge of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close procedures. • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to interpret complex data. • Familiarity with ERP accounting software systems, hospitality related and POS. • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing diverse teams. • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
