MAJOR FUNCTION:

Provides direction for nursing departments in accordance with professional nursing standards and requirements of licensing and accrediting agencies. A Registered Nurse who is accountable to assure the standard of care is maintained within the framework of: Hospital System Mission, Vision, Values and Goals, Nursing Department goals and Budget guidelines. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education & Experience: 

Bachelors in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing or Management preferred.  Five years of nursing experience required with at least two years of experience in one specialty area.  One to three years of nursing management experience required. 

Certification/Licensure:  

Licensed as a registered nurse in New Jersey.Certification in area of specialty preferred8 hours of stroke education required annually.Physical Requirements:
