Responsibilities The Director of Digital Marketing is a senior leader within the Marketing Strategy lane within the enterprise Marketing team (MCCE), which includes Marketing, Communications, Creative & Events. This role is responsible for the strategy, performance, roadmap, and visibility of SCA Health’s enterprise digital marketing ecosystem. This includes the corporate website, 300+ facility websites, SEO, paid media, online reputation management (ORM), collateral ordering system, digital analytics, and account management support for our ASC facilities. This leader sets the short and long-term digital vision, oversees a team of three, and ensures that all digital initiatives are aligned with business priorities, compliant with brand, legal, accessibility & regulatory standards, and socialized effectively across the enterprise. Responsibilities Digital Strategy & Leadership + Create and communicate the strategic vision for SCA Health’s digital ecosystem, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth strategies. + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three digital professionals; establish clear goals, priorities, and growth plans. + Build scalable governance for 300+ facility websites, ensuring consistency, accessibility (WCAG), compliance, clinical accuracy, and brand, legal & regulatory alignment. + Foster cross-training and a learning environment that strengthens digital depth across the team. + Treat the Digital Marketing function as a business within the business — demonstrating ownership, accountability, and financial stewardship. + Maintain regular, structured interaction with teammates and key partners, ensuring visibility, clarity, and alignment. + Own the strategy and performance of the corporate and facility websites. + Lead major website enhancements, migrations, and functionality rollouts in partnership with IT, Compliance, Legal, and Clinical teams. + Drive strategy for digital patient conversion funnel and continuously optimize for speed, usability, measurement and accessibility. + Develop and manage an integrated search and performance media strategy. + Cultivate strong, collaborative partnerships with vendors/agencies through clear governance, performance standards, and accountability to ensure consistent quality, compliance, and operational excellence across all engagements. + Lead strategy for online reputation management (ratings, reviews, profiles) and governance across 200+ facilities. + Oversee “trusted advisor” model for facility support, including standardized intake, SLAs, templates, and playbooks. + Ensure facilities receive high-quality marketing support aligned with operational and clinical priorities. + Oversee the ordering platform, ensuring template consistency, version control, and efficient resource deployment. + Define KPIs, partner with data team to build dashboards, and measurement frameworks to track performance across all digital channels. + Promote a strong test-and-learn culture, using data to drive decisions, optimize spend, and influence strategy. + Present digital strategy and performance results, insights, and recommendations with confidence to stakeholders & leadership through compelling storytelling and clear visualizations. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND and/or EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field. + 10+ years of corporate marketing/communications experience, including management and operational leadership of specialized teams. + Demonstrated success creating strategic vision and operationalizing digital roadmaps at enterprise scale. + Minimum of 3 years directing digital teams across websites, SEO, paid media, analytics, multi-site support, UX, and enterprise CMS environments. + Demonstrated success in creating a strategic vision for the digital marketing lane and translating it into clear, measurable, and operationally executable plans + Competency in budget ownership, forecasting, delegation, and supporting individual and team development. + Ability to anticipate business needs, apply best practices, and improve lane processes. + Experience using the following types of platforms: analytics (Piwik Pro preferred) ad server platform (Google AdWords preferred) data visualization (Tableau preferred) project management platform (Jira preferred) Online Reputation Management (Birdeye preferred), + Experience authoring in a CMS (WordPress preferred) + May work primarily remote with occasional travel (~3 times per year) Preferred Qualifications: + Healthcare experience + Master’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field Elements for Success + Transformative leadership with the ability to elevate digital maturity and drive change. + Critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to identify and address blind spots. + Ability to influence others and translate vision into action; calculated risk-taking to advance outcomes.
