Director/Manager Financial Reporting
Description We are looking for an experienced Director/Manager of Financial Reporting to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting processes, while providing strategic insights to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in financial reporting and a strong understanding of SEC regulations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. • Manage the company’s SEC reporting process, including quarterly and annual filings. • Analyze and report on earnings per share (EPS) calculations and their implications. • Lead the development of annual financial statements and related disclosures. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data. • Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting processes for enhanced efficiency. • Provide guidance on complex financial reporting issues and regulatory requirements. • Monitor changes in SEC regulations and ensure compliance across reporting activities. • Review and approve financial disclosures to maintain transparency and accuracy. • Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting, including SEC filings. • Proficiency in preparing EPS calculations and annual financial statements. • Strong knowledge of SEC regulations and compliance requirements. • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Experience managing external audits and responding to inquiries. • Advanced proficiency in financial reporting software and tools. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
