**Director Finance Clinical Support Services** **| REMOTE**
The Director Clinical Support Services serves as the enterprise financial leader for Pharmacy and Laboratory services, providing strategic financial leadership that aligns clinical operations with system-wide financial performance and sustainability. The role functions as a trusted advisor to clinical and operational leaders, ensuring informed decision-making through disciplined financial stewardship, enterprise perspective, and proactive partnership across the health system.
**Essential Job Functions**
+ Serve as the primary financial leader and strategic advisor for Pharmacy and Laboratory services, aligning clinical operations with system financial performance and long-term sustainability.
+ Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and enterprise decision-making for ancillary services.
+ Provide financial oversight for Pharmacy services across acute, ambulatory/340B, and retail environments, including budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and financial performance monitoring.
+ Provide financial oversight for Laboratory services, including evaluation of financial feasibility, volume and utilization trends, reimbursement considerations, and long-term sustainability of clinical initiatives.
+ Lead financial analysis and modeling for new, expanded, or restructured Pharmacy and Laboratory programs, ensuring disciplined evaluation of return on investment and operational impact.
+ Support development and execution of cost optimization, utilization management, and margin improvement strategies in collaboration with clinical leadership.
+ Oversee financial management of Pharmacy and Laboratory shared services, including assessment of staffing, operating costs, and system-level initiatives impacting shared operations.
+ Establish and maintain standardized processes to track clinical and operational initiatives, financial outcomes, and performance metrics across ancillary services.
+ Monitor key clinical and operational drivers that impact financial performance and proactively identify risks, variances, and opportunities for corrective action.
+ Prepare and present clear, actionable financial insights, performance updates, and risk assessments to executive and senior leadership.
+ Ensure financial practices, analyses, and recommendations are aligned with health system policies, governance expectations, and strategic priorities.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members as applicable, fostering strong business acumen, accountability, and effective partnership with clinical stakeholders.

**Licensing/Certification**
+ Certification such as CPA, HFMA CHFP/CFHP, or similar credential (preferred)
**Education**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required).
+ Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred).
**Work Experience**
+ 7+ years’ progressive experience in healthcare financial operations, preferably within Pharmacy, Laboratory, or other clinical ancillary areas (required)
+ Demonstrated understanding of healthcare financial models, cost accounting, and service-line economics (required)
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and enterprise financial systems (e.g., Workday, Adaptive, Power BI) (required)
+ Direct leadership experience (required)
+ Prior experience working within a multi-hospital or integrated health system (preferred)
+ Familiarity with reimbursement structures (specifically 340B), pharmacy cost-management strategies, and laboratory operational workflows (preferred)
