**Job Title** Director - Data Engineering & Analytics **Job Description Summary** Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a dynamic Director of Data Engineering & Analytics to lead data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives. Your leadership will directly support the company's vision of becoming the most trusted partner in the built environment. **Job Description** **Key Responsibilities** + Define and execute a holistic data engineering and analytics strategy aligned with enterprise goals and innovation roadmaps. + Lead the successful delivery of complex, large-scale data programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and budgets. + Oversee existing platforms and architect scalable new solutions for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML. + Lead the management and scaling of MDM and data governance platforms (e.g., Profisee, Purview), owning the strategy for property and client data domains to ensure consistency across the enterprise. + Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team including data engineers, data scientists, BI developers, solution architects, and program managers. + Collaborate with business, product, and cross-functional technology stakeholders to gather requirements, align on business goals, and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. + Drive architectural reviews, solution design, and technical planning to ensure system performance, scalability, and resilience. + Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to enhance operational efficiency. + Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across data and engineering teams. + Champion best practices in data architecture, governance, and operations to ensure data quality, platform security, and long-term sustainability. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. + 15+ years of progressive experience in data and analytics, including at least 10 years in leadership roles. + Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade data engineering and analytics solutions within complex organizations. + Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Azure Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake. + Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive large-scale data transformations. + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights. + Experience with Master Data Management tools such as Profisee, Collibra, or similar platforms. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. + Familiarity with modern data architectures and frameworks, including data mesh, data fabric, and data lakehouse. + Proficiency with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Fabric, and Azure Databricks. + Industry experience in commercial or retail real estate, capital projects, or other data-intensive environments. + Proficiency with streaming and distributed data processing technologies such as Spark Streaming, PySpark, and Spark SQL. + Professional certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, PMP, Agile, or Azure-related credentials are highly preferred. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
