Job SummaryChurch & Dwight is seeking a Director: Marketing Innovation & Development -Beauty, to join our team. We are looking for a high energy, high impact leader to drive innovation transformation and acceleration across the Specialty Hair & Skin Care portfolio of brands (Hero, Batiste, Nair, Viviscal, Toppik).
About the RoleThis leader is a core member of the Beauty POD Leadership Team, working closely with the Vice President, Brand leaders, R&D, GMS and Commercial to drive impactful innovations across a complex, fast moving brand portfolio. This leader is a strong leader, who will develop and empower a direct team of Associate Directors and Brand Managers. This position reports to VP Beauty.
Work Environment
Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Ewing, NJ and requires in- person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Identify and develop new product strategies to drive US growth across our dynamic beauty portfolio of brands (Hero, Batiste, Nair, Viviscal, Toppik) +$800MM, delivering double digit growth thru 2030.
This leader is energized by challenging the status quo and accelerating innovation with meaningful trend forward and strategic platforms, working cross-functionally to make them happen.
Responsibilities include:
Leader of ideation acceleration across the portfolio, determining where to play, right to win, and how to play
Adoption of test and learn methodologies including AI technologies with consumer validation testing as well as GTM launches
Create 3-5 year new product pipelines, working closely with R&D and Beauty team
Validation of size of opportunity and direct influence with five year strategic plan
New product development, working with cross functional team, including Brand, R&D, and CSP/Sales
Anticipate market conditions, track consumption data and monitor trends through social listening while adjusting strategies accordingly
Inspire teams to deliver initiatives in support of brand strategy
Gain organizational support and senior level buy-in for new product initiatives
Creatively interpret data and markets to identify new opportunities and solutions that have significant impact on the business
Collaborate with R&D, Brand and co-mans to generate and accelerate concept to market ideation
Build a high functioning team and lead effectively across functions
Skills and CompetenciesChange agent to drive new ways of working and speed throughout the NPD process.
Direct experience driving innovation within face paced beauty categories and brands. Has deep industry knowledge and passion and is on the pulse of consumer and client trends shaping the future.
Experience defining strategies and agile processes though complex matrixed organizations, influencing and structuring to drive results with speed
Comfortable and effective working with high level peer set (VPs and Directors), strong strategic skills, PLUS ability to lead cross-functional teams in project execution
Strong marketing, financial, and general management skills
Contextual communicator who can collaboratively identify opportunity areas and problems worth solving
Generalist exceling in a variety of areas with the ability to ask the right questions to deeply understand consumer wants/needs
Strong business acumen with the capability of defining a strategy aligning with business value
Agile thinker expertly interfacing between the business and new markets
Experience and expertise in presenting externally, especially to retailers
Education & Experience:BA/BS required; MBA preferred
12-18 years total marketing business experience (CPG, OTC)
Well-developed expertise across all areas of marketing and leading/developing talent.
Compensation and BenefitsThe U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$247,700
This position is also eligible for a bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
