We are looking for a Director to develop and execute a comprehensive workforce and supplier management strategy that aligns with organizational goals, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and delivery excellence. A self-starter with a strategic mindset, capable of navigating complex challenges and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive workforce and supplier management strategy that aligns with organizational goals (including workforce targets, location strategy), ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and delivery excellence.
Establish and implement best practices & process for hiring approvals, controls, recruitment (for FTE hiring) and supplier engagement.
Define and optimize FTE: Contractor ratios as well as onshore/offshore workforce ratios to balance cost efficiency, operational resilience, and service quality for the department.
Drive innovation by identifying and adopting emerging trends and technologies in supplier and workforce management.
Collaborate across GFT & Chief Operating Office leadership for areas such as recruitment, onboarding, financial reporting and employee engagement.
Workforce Strategy and Governance
Develop and implement a workforce management framework that ensures optimal resource allocation, productivity, and alignment with business needs.
Oversee contractor workflows, including SOW renewals, funding approvals, and headcount tracking, ensuring compliance with procurement and financial policies.
Monitor and analyze workforce metrics (e.g., utilization, capacity, and spend and attrition trends) to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and cost savings.
Collaborate with Department leaders, HR, Recruitment, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure workforce strategies are aligned with organizational priorities & targets.
Vendor Relationship Management
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering long-term collaboration.
Lead supplier performance management, including regular performance reviews, contract negotiations, and resolution of escalated issues.
Oversee the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance assessments, and adherence to organizational standards.
Negotiate and optimize engagement models (e.g., T&M, Managed Services) to maximize value and minimize risk.
Operational Excellence
Establish and enforce governance frameworks for supplier and workforce management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Drive process improvements to streamline supplier and workforce operations, leveraging data-driven insights and automation tools.
Monitor and manage spend trends across suppliers and workforce resources, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation.
Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
Prepare and deliver executive-level reports on supplier performance, workforce metrics, and strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Partner with cross-functional leaders, including T&O Supplier Management, Procurement, Finance, and Global Functions Technology, to align on priorities and resolve complex challenges.
Influence senior stakeholders through data-driven storytelling, ensuring buy-in for strategic initiatives (workforce targets & location strategy) and process improvements.
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Drive change management efforts to adopt innovative tools, practices, and processes in supplier and workforce management.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team, ensuring a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Workforce Mangement, Vendor/Supplier Management within technology or related industries, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives.
3+ years of people leadership experience, including mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Expertise in vendor relationship management, including contract negotiation, performance management, and risk mitigation.
Strong understanding of workforce management principles, including resource planning, capacity management, and cost optimization.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders.
Proven experience in change management, driving process improvements, and adopting innovative tools and practices.
