Essential Job Functions + Manages and oversees all Trust System processing support for all accounting and securities systems and transactions conducted for the customer accounts of the Trust Division. + Coordinates Trust System enhancement implementation and communication, updates the Trust disaster recovery program, processes the Trust portion of the Bank OZK Business Resilience testing, and develops policies and procedures, as needed. + Oversees daily operation functions to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and deadlines are met which may include supervising and/or recording (data entry), balancing, reconciling, and reporting of all such transactions. + Manages the review and monitoring of all operational daily reports. + Monitors dual control, acting where necessary. + Monitors and verifies reconciliation of each day’s Trust accounting activity to Bank records. + Manages processing of special activity related to taxes, pension payments, fees, and C/Ds. + Manages and coordinates annual audits and exams. + Researches and resolves accounting and/or processing errors and exceptions. + Creates and maintains procedures for Trust Operations department. + Provides backup and cross-team support for other functions within the Trust Division. + Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of the other essential job functions + Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work. + Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Comprehensive knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank policies. + Knowledge of Trust accounting systems and banking systems. + Knowledge of Trust administrative and operational policies and procedures. + Knowledge of basic securities industry transaction flow. + Ability to work comfortably with numbers and financial data. + Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. + Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives. + Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment. + Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem- solving skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work well with others and share significant information timely and accurately. + Ability to complete daily tasks by deadline. + Ability to analyze financial reports and complex sets of data and information. + Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work without close supervision. + Ability to maintain confidentiality. + Ability to travel on company business, including occasional overnight travel or extended trips, both throughout and outside of the company’s footprint. + Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other job-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. + 10+ years of work experience in a financial/accounting setting such as banking, securities, or Trust, required. + 5+ years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role, required. + Tax reporting experience or equivalent, preferred.
