Director, Talent Cycle
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Director, Talent Cycle is an operational leader responsible for delivery and optimization of core HR services in support of RBC employees in a coordinated and consistent way.The Director will lead the teams responsible for Employee lifecycle events, bulk/restructure events, Data Integrity and Hygiene across Employee Systems of record (Workday/SAP) and the provision of employee inquiry support. This role will also create and maintain a proactive relationship management team to ensure HR data and changes are executed with excellence globally. This role ensures operational excellence and strong controls with focus on development and maintenance of a robust risk management culture. The Director partners closely with HR and business leaders to drive best in class operational performance; enhanced employee experiences and strong regulatory compliance across all operations.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead and manage the Talent Cycle Canada Operations team, ensuring efficient, effective and scalable service deliveryDrive a high-performance culture, centered on excellent employee experiences and a rigorous controls environmentEmbed and accelerate strategic core operational capabilities across teamsLeverage change management capabilities to lead a future ready team and to continuously improve performance and digital optimizationDevelop strong relationships with partners and colleagues as a foundation for strong collaboration, communication and goal alignmentBusiness Management:
Leverage data and analytics to drive effective workforce management and capacity planning, operating within approved budget and proactively planning team resourcingIdentify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the team, leveraging capabilities and resources across Talent ServicesDrive a One RBC approach to serving target client segment needs leveraging best-in-class capabilities across RBC businesses.Risk Management AccountabilitiesExecute relevant activities and hold teams accountable to operate within risk appetite, limits and policies, understanding the risks being undertaken, and take ownership of decisions and outcomesResponsible for implementing and maintaining an appropriate system of internal controls to identify, assess, measure, and mitigate current and emerging risks on an ongoing basisPromote a “safe to speak-up” environment and strong risk culture by setting the tone, monitoring risk management behaviors, holding employees accountable, establishing open communication channels and promoting effective review and challenge.Oversee the development of effective action plans to satisfactorily resolve outstanding risk issues;Oversee the completion of all assigned remediation tasks on time and meet or exceed expected quality levelsPeople Leadership:

Must have:
Proven background in core HR services: payroll, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, experience in delivering at scale preferredExperience leading operational teamsWorkforce management, workflow optimization and strong data acumenExperience in developing talent, driving collaboration, building successful cross functional relationshipsStrong understanding of audit and regulatory requirementsExperience in a large complex, fast paced organization is a plusAdept at cultivating relationships and collaborating with colleagues across multiple lines of businessBusiness planning, budget and resource management; work and initiative prioritization; alignment to strategic priorities across the HR function and organizationNice-to-have:
