The Opportunity

Reporting to the AVP, Talent Acquisition, as Director, Talent Acquisition (TA), you will be a strategic partner in leading, evolving, and scaling the enterprise recruitment strategy that fuels our growth. You’ll coach a team of recruiters, elevate hiring excellence across the business, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on executive hiring and recruitment capabilities. The role balances hands on leadership and oversight of high impact recruitment with building the systems, insights, partnerships, and brand presence that create a predictable, diverse, and high quality talent engine.

What you’ll do

Strategic leadership & senior stakeholder partnership

As a member of the TA Leadership team, set and continuously refine the enterprise TA strategy aligned to business priorities, and workforce needs; advise senior leaders with market, talent, and competitive insights.

Serve as a thought partner to seniorlevel stakeholders on sensitive, high stakes searches and hiring initiatives; bring clear recommendations and influence to decision-making.

Partner deeply with Business Leaders, HR Business Partners and Centres of Expertise (e.g., Total Rewards, L&D, HR Service Delivery) to integrate TA into organizational plans and people programs.

Executive recruiting & critical roles

Personally lead or oversee endtoend searches for executive and critical roles, ensuring rigorous assessment, values alignment, and a high touch candidate experience from first contact through offer and onboarding.

Provide guidance on assessment, selection, compensation strategy, and negotiations, balancing speed, quality, and long-term fit.

Team leadership, coaching & capability

As a subset of the broader TA team, develop, coach, and mentor a small team of recruiters—raising the bar on consultative recruiting & hiring leader experience, proactive sourcing, judgement & stakeholder management. All while emphasizing the candidate journey

Enable hiring leader capability (e.g., structured interviewing, decision quality) and continue to embed inclusive hiring practices across the business.

TA operations, governance, & analytics

Own TA process health endtoend. Implement bestpractice workflows, consistent operating rhythms, and governance that scales.

Define and report on key TA metrics (e.g., timetofill, qualityofhire, pipeline coverage, passthrough rates, hiring experience) to drive transparency, continuous improvement, and portfolio management.

Manage vendor strategy (agencies, search firms, tools) for quality, cost, and compliance; maintain a centralized agency database and relationships that deliver results.

Technology, innovation & market intelligence

Implement and leverage a modern candidate system and AIenabled recruiting tools to improve sourcing effectiveness, predictability, and candidate experience; pilot innovations with a “how might we improve?” mindset.

Maintain talent market expertise—labour trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive insights—to inform workforce plans and hiring decisions.

Crossfunctional projects & onboarding partnership

Lead projects within TA (process redesign, tech rollouts, analytics maturation) and represent TA on enterprise initiatives requiring hiring expertise.

Partner with stakeholders to continuously enhance onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition from offer acceptance to productive start.

What you bring
