What is the opportunity?

The Director, Strategic Pricing Transformation role directs and oversees a forward-looking pricing strategy to accelerate RBC’s next chapter of growth in Home Equity Financing (HEF). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading a multi-year transformation agenda that redefines how we price the Home Equity portfolio across channels and client segments. It will lead the design and execution of differentiated AI-powered pricing capabilities that unlock new levels of precision, agility, and competitive advantage in meeting our goal of premium market growth.


The multi-year transformational journey this role will lead will modernize the pricing infrastructure, embed intelligent decision, and deliver outsized impact on growth and profitability. It will operate at the intersection of strategy, data science, and technology to architect a clear roadmap that will directly influence how RBC competes in a dynamic, rapidly evolving mortgage landscape.

What will you do?

Lead the Strategy for Intelligent, Dynamic Pricing

Develop a bold, multi-channel HEF pricing roadmap focused on growth, speed, and client value.  This includes architecting the roadmap to grow/protect RBC market share, maximize profitability, increase efficiency and client experience.

Develop and implement an AI-driven infrastructure through RBC Borealis to deliver differentiated pricing strategies tailored to acquisitions, renewals, and client segments across Branch and Mobile Specialist channels.

Guide and influence the next evolution of RBC’s pricing capabilities from static models to dynamic, customized pricing frameworks at scale.

Lead Proactive Cross-Functional Transformation

Partner with senior leaders across the organization, including Product, Distribution, Operations, Finance, Treasury, and Technology to align pricing strategy with RBC’s broader transformation objectives.

Influence decision-making beyond reactive problem-solving through strategic storytelling, clear roadmaps, and evidence-based insights.

Champion change management and enablement plans that drive adoption of new pricing behaviours and performance.

Modernize Pricing Infrastructure and Analytics

Spearhead the development of next-generation pricing systems introducing real-time, variable-based, AI-driven pricing through advanced technology platforms being facilitated through Borealis and the HomeX Journey.

Embed challenger/champion pricing frameworks and real-time feedback loops to ensure pricing strategies continuously evolve.

Advocate for scalable technology investments that future-proof RBC’s mortgage pricing platform.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

7–10 years' experience in mortgage, lending, product strategy roles

Strong business and finance acumen with a proven track record of leading high-impact initiatives

Familiarity with AI, machine-learning, or data-driven applications in pricing or decision science, or experience working with data science/analytics teams

Demonstrated leadership, influence, and strategic execution to direct both internal and external partners, as well as cross-functional teams

Strength in distilling complexity into clear, strategic direction

University degree in Business or related field

Nice to have:

Deep understanding of mortgage sales process and competitive dynamics

Exposure to modern pricing technologies, automation platforms, and experimentation frameworks (e.g. champion/challenger)

Experience modernizing legacy systems in pricing, underwriting, or customer decision contexts

Familiarity with AI-driven personalization, offer optimization, or real-time pricing tools in a financial services environment

Advanced data literacy and comfort navigating analytics-driven environments

Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving lasting change

MBA degree is an asset
