Director, Strategic Initiatives (Sam's Club)
**Position Summary...** We’re looking for a dynamic and versatile Director of Strategy Enablement to serve as a strategic right-hand partner to the VP of Omni Transformation. Think of this as part Chief of Staff, part strategy lead, and part operator – a high-impact role that helps drive forward the transformation agenda and ensures ideas translate into action across the organization. This is not a typical role. We need an athlete – someone who can pivot across business domains, navigate ambiguity, connect the dots, and push work forward without waiting to be told. You’ll work side by side with leadership and cross-functional partners to shape strategic priorities, operationalize initiatives, and accelerate execution across digital, in-club, and enterprise-wide experiences. **What you'll do...** + Act as a thought partner to the VP of Omni Transformation, supporting strategic planning, prioritization, and decision-making. + Enable and accelerate critical initiatives across digital experience, process reinvention, and operating model design. + Drive alignment and momentum across cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity on objectives, accountability, and progress. + Lead or support high-impact workstreams – from zero-to-one problem solving to structured implementation. + Synthesize insights, connect initiatives across the enterprise, and surface opportunities to simplify and scale. + Prepare and elevate executive-level narratives, materials, and updates for senior leadership. + Influence without authority and foster collaboration across matrixed teams. **Who You Are:** + A strategic self-starter with 8–12 years of experience in roles such as consulting, strategy, transformation, operations, or a Chief of Staff-type capacity. + Known for your intellectual curiosity, big thinking, and ability to go deep fast. + A strong communicator who can tell stories with data, write clearly, and build trust at all levels. + A connector – of people, of ideas, of initiatives – who thrives in complex environments. + Comfortable in the gray, energized by ambiguity, and motivated by purpose. + Passionate about making things better for both associates and members.
