The Team:
BALI, a subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation is seeking a senior Commercial Sales Support professional for its international aircraft leasing business. BALI’s existing aircraft portfolio of assets includes loans and leases on commercial aircraft operated by top tier carriers. Reporting to BALI Business Head, and supporting the Commercial team, the successful candidate will be a key team member in executing on BALI’s business plan for delivering operating leases and secured debt in the aircraft sector.
Role Description
A senior, experienced and commercially minded associate who enhances the Business’ effectiveness and delivery of BofA’s global aircraft leasing and financing business, supporting the APAC and EMEA Sales Heads. This role provides high‑impact support across client engagement, deal execution, lease management, and strategic initiatives. It bridges new business origination and execution through internal coordination, ensuring commercial momentum, disciplined execution, and strong customer outcomes with a solutions oriented mindset.
The successful candidate will act as a versatile problem‑solver—equally comfortable leading a deal workstream, engaging directly with airlines and investors, or driving internal processes. This person will strengthen the commercial outcomes of this experienced cross functional aircraft leasing platform.
Responsibilities
1. Commercial & Client Engagement Support
Support Sales and Business leadership in driving client strategy, relationship development, and commercial follow‑through across airlines, lessors, OEMs, and financing partners.Prepare and lead elements of transaction proposals, client pitches, follow‑ups, data requests, commercial analyses, and term sheet discussions.Act as a senior point of contact with customers on assigned workstreams.2. Deal & Transaction Management (End‑to‑End)
Lead or co‑lead commercial workstreams across product / transaction types including operating leases, SLBs, secured loans, refinancings, and aircraft trades.Drive forward momentum on transactions: coordinate with Legal, Credit, EMG, TMT, Finance, Operations and external counterparties.Ensure commercial issues are surfaced early, managed effectively, and aligned with risk, pricing, and BofA policies.Support term sheet formulation, commercial analysis, and negotiation preparation (not a legal documentation role, but commercially fluent).Track key milestones to ensure clean execution and high‑quality internal communication.3. Portfolio & Asset Management Support
Contribute to portfolio management activities including trading and placement.
4. Leadership, Team Contribution & Platform Support
Provide input on commercial analysis, deal flow, research, and execution routines.Take on ad‑hoc assignments requiring judgment, initiative, and cross‑team collaboration— “no job too big or too small” mindset.Strengthen the operating rhythm of the business: governance routines, reporting, business reviews, project management, and process improvements.Champion our growth mindset and a high‑performance, collaborative culture.5. Market & Industry Insight
Maintain a working expertise in aircraft leasing market conditions, industry trends, lease rates, values, OEM dynamics, and competitor activity.Support evaluation of strategic opportunities (new opportunities, products, structures).What we are looking for
An extensive number of years in aircraft leasing/financingDemonstrated end‑to‑end transaction experience across operating leases and/or secured debt; able to run commercial workstreams independently.Strong customer‑facing and communication skills; able to engage credibly with airline executives, lessors, financiers, and internal functions.Not a legal role, but solid understanding of commercial implications of lease terms, and transaction processes.Skills that will help
