New Store Development & Execution
Lead or support end-to-end project execution for new store builds.Manage entitlement and permitting processes to ensure timely approvals.Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to maintain project timelines and budgets.Financial & Cost Management
Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and capital justification.Monitor construction costs, validate change orders, and support negotiations with contractors.Identify cost-saving opportunities and support estimating and design functions.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a liaison between Real Estate, Construction, Store Space, Public Affairs, Legal, and Government Relations.Facilitate communication and alignment across departments to ensure project success.Strategic Planning & Innovation
Contribute to strategic initiatives that improve speed, efficiency, and transparency.Develop content and insights for senior leadership presentations.Regulatory & Community Engagement
Support compliance strategies and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies.Participate in community outreach and represent Walmart in public forums as needed.Talent & Culture

Proven Leadership in Real Estate Development: Demonstrated success overseeing all phases of real estate development projects, including site selection, deal negotiation, construction management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Strategic and Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze complex projects, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support capital planning and forecasting.Exceptional Project Management Skills: Experience leading multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at building relationships and facilitating alignment across teams, including Real Estate, Construction, Legal, and Government Relations.Expertise in Regulatory and Community Engagement: Familiarity with permitting, entitlement, and compliance processes, as well as experience representing organizations in public and regulatory forums.Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
