Job Description:

   

Leads and develops a high performing inside sales team focused on SMB and transactional accounts within a multifaceted organization. Responsible for driving operational success, strategic alignment, and integration with major business functions. Balances customer retention/expansion with new acquisition, delivering sustainable revenue growth and market share. Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to sales professionals, fostering talent development and a culture of high performance. Responsible for accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and executing structured sales processes, leveraging advanced sales tools and AI to maximize productivity and efficiency. Builds relationships with key partners and distributors, ensuring a robust channel ecosystem, and drives change management initiatives for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

Lead, motivate, and optimize a large, multifaceted inside sales team with a focus on SMB and transactional sellers.Set and execute strategy for customer retention, expansion, and acquisition across defined account assignments or territories.Own and deliver on measurable functional, operational, and strategic sales goals, including revenue growth, profit margins, and market share.Advise executive management on sales strategy, market trends, and organizational priorities.

Sales Execution & Management

Accurately forecast sales results and manage pipeline to ensure predictable execution and achievement of business goals.Develop and implement enablement plans and targeted sales campaigns.Ensure rigorous adoption of structured sales processes, supported by AI-assisted sales tools to drive operational efficiency.Nurture existing customer base and actively hunt for new business.Ensure the full portfolio of products, options, and services is sold, increasing attach rates.

People Development & Culture

Coach and develop individual sellers, supporting their career evolution and sales execution.Foster a high-performance sales culture, acting as an ambassador for excellence and change.Grow and develop talent, ensuring succession planning and ongoing capability enhancement.

Customer & Partner Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, distributors, and customers.Ensure an effective channel ecosystem and adhere to partner engagement rules.Drive cross-functional alignment with internal stakeholders across geographies and business units.

Operational Excellence

Champion operational cadence, process optimization, and adoption of best-in-class sales methodologies.Influence and drive common processes, tools, and systems to improve productivity and customer experience.Manage and deliver on budgetary goals, seeking opportunities to decrease costs while maximizing sales outcomes.

Education & Experience:

12+ years of progressive sales management experience, including SMB/transactional sales and quota achievement.Experience managing both outbound and inbound inside sales teams.Proven track record in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and implementing structured sales processes.Demonstrated project management and change leadership abilities.Fluent in English and German language.Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong business and financial acumen with a clear understanding of market trends and business strategy.Expertise in sales methodologies, value-based selling, and adoption of sales technology/AI tools.Deep understanding of commercial acumen and local/regional market factors.Exceptional people management, coaching, and team motivation skills.Effective relationship building, stakeholder management, and matrix leadership abilities.
