You will develop and implement accounting practices and procedures and interpret and provide data from accounting records for the NA Ventures business unit. You will also coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs. In addition, you will support the global management of key processes like fixed assets, leases, intercompany cross charges, new accounting rules, restructuring programs, and accounting for joint ventures, among others.
How you will contribute
You will:
Implement accounting practices and procedures globally under the guidance of the Sr. Director AER and VP Finance, NA Ventures. In this role, you will also support the global management of such accounting processes as fixed assets, leases, intercompany cross charges, new accounting rules, restructuring programs, and accounting for joint ventures, among others.
Drive a strong controls and compliance environment across your area of responsibility. You will also ensure that accounting and external reporting policies are up to date and understood by the organization and that proper controls and compliance are in place.
Coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs. You will also provide and interpret data from accounting records as required.
Harmonize and improve ways of working on AER processes and systems such as Net Suites, SAP, SLAN and FIT/HFM reporting tools and build a mindset of continuous improvement in the team.
Build a high-performing Accounting and External Reporting (AER) team (Mondelēz International Business Services and third party providers). You will also recruit and develop AER talent and drive the Mondelēz International AER talent agenda globally.
What you will bring

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting (AER) including a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, close processes and financial reporting systems. General knowledge in complex technical accounting such as treatment of FX, derivatives, employee compensation and pension plans. Expertise in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting. General knowledge of tax laws and indirect and direct tax.
BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business and finance beyond the AER scope. Big Four accounting firm experience preferred.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering and communication skills across a large global, public company. Experience working as a global finance leader managing global, cross-functional and business partner teams to drive timely and accurate results.
GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to identify strategic opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with Mondelēz International values and policies and external regulations.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 14 or more years of accounting experience is required
Exceptional communication, project management, and analytical skills are essential. Proven ability to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences
Demonstrated experience in process and controls improvement
Highly skilled at managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in managing and developing high-performing accounting teams.
Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA is required

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $141,000 to $246,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
