Director, Inventory Planning and Replenishment
Position Purpose:

The Director, Planning and Replenishment is the business process owner for planning and replenishment of centrally ordered trade merchandise ($10B scope growing to $16B) of several merchandise departments. Responsibilities include: Building & executing planning and replenishment strategies, development & maintenance of SKU demand profiles, demand forecasting & managing to target inventory levels, ordering & tracking, balancing of stock across stores and DCs, specification & implementation of new inventory mgmt and replenishment systems, and analysis & reporting. Overall responsibility is to assure delivery of the right product to the right place at the right time using consistent, repeatable processes to optimize inventory position while meeting customer demand. Key metrics & deliverables include improving in-stock, driving inventory turns, and improving forecasting accuracy. The position is responsible for very large-scale projects that span across numerous business areas. Duties include project planning & execution, fiscal mgmt/ROI, process improvements, people development, team building, motivation, and living & instilling our values.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:Vice President - Inventory Planning and ReplenishmentAccountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
