We're seeking a Director of Global Social Impact to lead our global impact strategy, nonprofit partnerships, employee engagement, and product impact programs.
The Director of Global Social Impact will be responsible for setting the strategy and leading execution for PagerDuty.org and the company's global social impact across strategic philanthropy, Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) stewardship, nonprofit market development, nonprofit customer success, and employee impact—partnering closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to drive measurable outcomes for communities and for PagerDuty.
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer and Vice President of Social Impact, you will define and evolve a multi-year social impact strategy aligned to PagerDuty's mission and company priorities. This position will lead annual planning, budgeting, and goal setting while representing PagerDuty.org with credibility inside and outside the company. You will manage the Senior Global Social Impact Specialist and develop key cross-functional partnerships.

How You Will Impact Our VisionStrategic Leader:
Develop and execute a comprehensive social impact strategy aligned with company objectives and mission that articulates PagerDuty.org's value proposition and long-term community impact. Own end-to-end DAF governance including payout targets, grantmaking cadence, investment alignment, and compliance while maintaining a balanced portfolio across focus areas, employee match amplification, and strategic bets. Build and manage a high-impact global partner portfolio, structuring multi-year and catalytic grants with established theories of change, learning agendas, and equitable application/review processes. Lead all aspects of quarterly and annual impact reporting—including preparation of executive and board-ready updates, impact dashboards, case studies, and associated materials, collaborating successfully across various leaders and functions.Partnership Builder:
Partner with Sales to scale nonprofit donation and discount programs that expand sector awareness and adoption, standing up enablement for the field including eligibility criteria, offer matrix, talk tracks, and ROI narratives. Partner with Customer Success and Support to define the nonprofit success motion including onboarding, adoption milestones, and health metrics, leveraging skills-based pro bono to accelerate time-to-value. Oversee employee programs to scale global giving, matching, and volunteering with equitable access across regions and modalities, partnering with ERGs and regional leaders to deliver localized impact initiatives. Co-develop campaigns and co-marketing with Marketing to reach nonprofit decision-makers, tracking pipeline influence and building a community of practice of technical nonprofit leaders.Operational Excellence:
Oversee diligence, risk management, and cross-border giving in partnership with Legal and Finance, refreshing policies annually around eligibility, DEI lens, anti-fraud, and conflict of interest. Define KPIs and build dashboards, managing mid-year reviews and annual impact reporting while partnering with Senior Specialist, Comms and Brand on storytelling and external recognition. Oversee tools and vendors including CSR platforms, grants management systems, and volunteering platforms, ensuring governance, documentation, and audit readiness. About You 10+ years of progressive experience in philanthropy, corporate social impact/CSR/ESG, or foundation management. 5+ years leading grantmaking portfolios with direct experience managing a DAF and global giving programs. Proven cross-functional leadership and successful collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Marketing. Track record building equitable, outcomes-driven programs across multiple geographies with demonstrated people leadership and team development experience. Strategic systems thinker with strong execution, prioritization, and program management capabilities combined with grantmaking expertise including theory of change development, logic models, evaluation, and learning. Go-to-market savvy for nonprofit segments with data fluency and confidence using dashboards to turn insights into decisions. Ability to translate complex social impact concepts into clear business value and communicate effectively with executive leadership and external stakeholders. Excellent communication and storytelling skills with executive presence, stakeholder influence, cultural humility, and global mindset. Bachelor's degree in related field; knowledge of nonprofit tech and in-kind/product donation programs, familiarity with ESG reporting and materiality, and experience with the tech-for-good ecosystem preferred.The base salary range for this position is 147,000- 246,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
