What you'll be doing

Reporting into the Senior Director, the Director of Digital Product Delivery, is accountable for developing and maintaining a vision for CIBC.com that delivers on iterations and continuous improvements to drive Stakeholders’ needs that maximize business value.  This role is focused on the definition, development and launching of features and functionality on our CIBC.com sites and has the authority to make decisions about the deliverables to achieve benefits realization. You will manage the backlog to achieve the desired outcome through developed relationships with business stakeholders, to help drive key activities and provide solutions on a feature level to ensure constant alignment with Product Management to achieve overall vision of CIBC.com.

How You'll Succeed

Project Delivery: Plan, monitor and control the delivery of projects, based on strategic and corporate priorities, to ensure they are delivered on time, on scope and within budget. Utilize effective processes for delivering projects. Manage, control and mitigate large issues and risks that arise from project delivery. Manage a team of Project Managers that are responsible for leading business work packages for CIBC.com projects. Oversee delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs for .com and Knowledge Management. Manage/coach/mentor a team of Product Owners. Act as SME/ ‘go to’ for LOBs pertaining to marketing websites, project work, strategic direction, etc.

Product Development: Develops, manages and communicates to business and technology partners, senior management and executives around product changes and backlog priorities. Actively participates in Design Solution and help with guidance and recommendations to the team while identifying key features to be delivered. Owns and manages future product planning by contributing to the vision, roadmap, and content. Supports participation in interactions and team retrospectives. Manages user stories and related feedback for product backlog refinement. Reviews, assesses and revises documents prior to providing final sign off on user stories. Partners with business stakeholders to formulate solutions to business problems while maintaining alignment to client requirements.  Effectively manage business stakeholders (Ex. Product, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, etc) to obtain inputs needed for product development in a timely manner

Backlog Steward: Work with business stakeholders to secure the ongoing mandate for the CIBC.com delivery team by defining and tracking product metrics and supporting the business case for continued funding of product development Generates a high-level release plan and collaborates with stakeholders and partners to reflect business priorities in feature development. Collaborates on a regular basis with the Project Owners and team to maintain the feature backlog. Decides on user story/feature prioritization and reviews and reprioritizes the team backlog before iteration planning sessions. Provides insight to build, prune, and maintain team backlog and decides whether a feature gets de-scoped during the sprint process
