Director, Communications - Editorial Content, Walmart Global Tech
Position Summary...

What you'll do...Walmart is a people-led, tech-powered company, and we’re searching for an experienced tech communicator who wants to be at the center of it. This role is a critical member of the team responsible for positioning Walmart as the leader of the next era of retail, highlighting our use of emerging technologies like Agentic/GenAI/AI to drive this transformation. You’ll guide the earned and owned content strategy for sharing tech and product innovations and vision, including identifying and managing speaking opportunities for our top executives and developing long-form written content. You’ll also support executive communications and develop a social storytelling approach for Walmart’s CTO & CDO, and our EVP, AI Acceleration, Product & Design. You’ll partner with tech and product leadership to elevate reach and understanding of the experiences we’re building across the business and our vision for the future of retail, for both internal and external audiences. We need someone who’s fired up and ready to lean in. It’s a fast-paced role for someone who wants to push the boundaries of what’s possible, while bringing joy, fun, and laughter to the workplace. You’ll make an impact by: Creating a bold strategy for cohesive storytelling, utilizing owned and earned channels, to reach internal and external audiences. Tailoring content for channels and audience Engaging and amplifying content on social platforms Collaborating across global communications team members, improving culture while telling multi-dimensional stories    Communicating with brevity and purpose, making complex tech topics simple and easy to understand, regardless of format. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field and 5 years’ experience in public relations, communications, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience in public relations, communications, or relevant area.
2 years’ supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
