**Job Summary**
The Director, Cardiovascular Services provides strategic leadership and consultative support to develop, implement, and enhance cardiovascular programs across Community Health Systems (CHS) facilities. This role focuses on improving patient care, clinical quality, operational efficiency, and program growth for heart and vascular services. The Director works collaboratively with corporate leadership, hospital staff, and physicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care while aligning with organizational goals and standards.
**Essential Functions**
+ Provides leadership and expertise in evaluating, developing, and supporting cardiovascular service lines across CHS facilities.
+ Consults with hospital personnel and physicians to plan and implement programs, clinical initiatives, and evidence-based practice standards to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
+ Conducts critical reviews of care delivery and clinical outcomes to identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance the patient care continuum.
+ Researches and develops evidence-based practice standards, best practices, and outcome metrics for heart and vascular service lines, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks.
+ Supports strategic planning, market analysis, and business development efforts for the growth of cardiovascular services, including identifying new program opportunities and expanding existing services.
+ Provides on-site consultation and support to CHS facilities for the implementation of new programs, process improvements, and clinical initiatives.
+ Mentors hospital program directors and acts as a resource for hospital leadership in cardiovascular operations.
+ Monitors compliance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and professional ethics, ensuring the confidentiality of patient and employee information.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required
+ 8-10 years of experience in cardiovascular services, including program development, operations, and clinical leadership required
+ Proven experience in strategic planning, quality improvement, and business development within the healthcare sector required
+ Experience in multiple health care settings or healthcare system with multiple sites of operation preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular care standards, evidence-based practices, and operational workflows.
+ Strong analytical skills to evaluate care delivery, clinical outcomes, and financial performance.
+ Effective leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on collaboration and mentorship.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
+ Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices for quality and patient safety.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and report generation for clinical and operational decision-making.
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
+ Certification in cardiovascular management or administration preferred
