JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Director of Software Platforms & Business Systems provides strategic leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise software platforms and applications. This role drives technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, support business growth, and align with organizational objectives. The Director oversees cross-functional projects, manages vendor relationships, and leads a high-performing team to deliver innovative solutions that improve company performance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Technology Leadership:

Develop and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for enterprise software platforms, including Yardi and related systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Enterprise Systems Management:

Oversee the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of property management systems. Lead evaluation and selection of new software modules and integrations to support evolving business needs.

Business Process Optimization:

Partner with senior executives to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation. Direct the development of workflow strategies, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to maximize efficiency and scalability.

Governance & Compliance:

Establish and enforce standards for systems development, data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to organizational policies and technology governance frameworks.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology strategy, emerging trends, and system capabilities. Communicate complex technical concepts in business terms to influence decision-making.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead and mentor a team of managers and individual contributors responsible for Yardi and related platforms. Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management to build organizational capability.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Champion innovation by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Lead initiatives that leverage technology to create competitive advantage and enhance customer experience.BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university preferred in Information Business Systems, or related fields.10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.Expertise in property management systems (Yardi preferred) and enterprise software platforms.Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to influence at all organizational levels.TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Team members work in an office or a remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
