We are seeking an exceptional strategic thinker to help shape the future of RBC Insurance. In this role, you will work with leaders and partners across the business to develop forward-looking strategies that accelerate growth, enhance efficiency, and unlock competitive advantages. You will translate complex market dynamics and business challenges into clear, compelling narratives that inspire action and drive results.

What will you do?

Architect strategic solutions by synthesizing complex business data, market intelligence, and competitive insights into well-researched, data-driven strategies supported by rigorous business casesDistill complexity into clarity by translating intricate concepts into compelling narratives and visuals that resonate with C-suite executives and cross-functional stakeholdersLead cross-functional collaboration to identify and capitalize on strategic opportunities, building alignment and buy-in across diverse teams and perspectivesElevate executive decision-making by preparing sophisticated materials, dashboards, and presentations that equip senior leaders with actionable insights and strategic optionsChallenge conventional thinking by staying ahead of market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities, bringing informed perspective and intellectual curiosity to strategic discussionsBuild trusted partnerships across RBC and with external stakeholders, establishing credibility through clear communication, sound judgment, and demonstrated business impact

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Strategic Excellence: 10+ years driving business strategy in financial services, with a proven track record of developing and presenting executive-level materials that inform critical business decisionsBanking Industry Mastery: Deep working knowledge of banking operations, practices, and requirements, built through 5+ years in client-facing or business-critical roles at a major financial institutionCommunication Mastery: Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas with elegance and precision—both orally and in writing. You excel at creating compelling decks, reports, and narratives that drive understanding, alignment and actionTechnical Fluency: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with a demonstrated ability to create polished, insights-driven presentations and analysesIntellectual Curiosity & Resilience: Comfort navigating ambiguity while maintaining relentless focus on driving innovation and operational excellence; ability to ask incisive questions and pursue answers with energy

Nice-to-have 

Insurance Industry Expertise: 10+ years of strategic or performance management experience within insurance, bringing deep understanding of industry-specific practices, challenges, and opportunities

Work location

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$110,000.00 - $160,000.00

The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
