Description
AWS is seeking a Director of Professional Services (ProServe) to develop and lead an innovative ProServe Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) strategy that drives long-term, transformational impact for our customers and partners globally. This leader will be is responsible for leading a team of sellers focused on AWS’s largest, most strategic HCLS accounts. This Director is accountable for the ProServe HCLS P&L and will collaborate with the sales team leaders to shape and close large enterprise commitments for all healthcare customers across AWS.
This HCLS ProServe leader will grow the revenue over the next 2-5 years by increasing the size and scale of the team and developing industry-specific alliances with partners that can provide scale to the organization, in a manner that improves contribution margin to the organization. This leader will build diverse teams of healthcare leaders and builders that drive specialized industry outcomes using AWS services and solutions while accelerating AWS platform adoption. The team is located in different geographies, organized by specialty, and optimized for customer engagement delivery.
This leader will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with our customer’s c-suite (CTO, CIO, CFO), and work side by side with the HCLS Sales, Partner, Global Services, Business Development, and Industry Solutions teams to build and sell new solutions that are transforming the healthcare industry.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the HCLS ProServe P&L against revenue and bookings targets.
• Integrate Global Services capabilities from Professional Service, AWS Managed Services, and the Enterprise Support Teams
• Serve as a single threaded leader for ProServe healthcare discipline across strategic, enterprise and greenfield accounts.
• Hire and develop a diverse team of HCLS sellers and industry specialists focused on our largest, most strategic AWS healthcare accounts.
• Responsible for the successful delivery of projects with our Life Science customers.
• Oversee the high-quality delivery of a variety of customized engagements with partners and customers in Global Life Science accounts.
• Establish executive and technical relationships with key integrators (SIs), software vendors (ISVs) and managed services providers (MSPs) who are offering cloud-based IT services and solutions. Deliver joint engagements to help partners succeed in large, complex customer engagements using AWS.
• Implement effective delivery mechanism, including centralization, to decrease effort and increase speed for our customer achieving their business outcome.
Basic Qualifications
• 15+ years enterprise IT consulting and delivery experience with global Fortune 500 companies.
• 10+ years experience leading global professional services delivery teams in the areas of IT service management, cloud computing, or IT Strategy.
• Consulting/IT advisory services experience; technical depth and the credibility to sell complex transformational IT consulting engagements
• Experience growing, and leading a direct sales team of 30+ as a leader of leaders, selling transformative delivery engagements in the $50M+ range
• P&L ownership of $50M• Experience positioning the organization as the primary delivery partner and working with ecosystem partners including large GSI’s
Preferred Qualifications
• Track record of leading technical teams that deliver complex transformational IT consulting engagements with Fortune 500 customers.
• Customer relationship management, executive presence, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity and scale systems, processes, and teams across multiple lines of businesses and customers.
• Previous experience in an organization that has built and/or sold solutions, products, or platforms
• Domain experience within Healthcare and Life Sciences, with specific depth of experience in Life Sciences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $241,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
