Job Summary
The Director, AI / ML Product Management position for CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions business unit acts as a strategic advisor and operational product development lead for Artificial Intelligence, machine learning models, and other advanced analytics. As the capabilities in the market accelerate and the demand for advanced analytics becomes ubiquitous among our clients, we are looking for a leader to guide capabilities across a wide range of our business. Desired solutions include upgrades to CBRE’s industry-leading analytics platform, embedding capability in global operations tools such as Work Order systems servicing hundreds of Fortune 500 clients, and providing productivity tooling to CBRE employees.
In collaboration with senior GWS leadership, this director position will be responsible for establishing a multi-level strategic roadmap. The roadmap will focus on establishing reusable capability and platforms through a build, buy, partner approach. The director will collaborate with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders both internal and external to understand requirements and prioritize product development based on value, funding, and business impact.
In addition to the strategic element, this role will also be responsible for ensuring execution of the various AI / ML products. The Director will oversee a small team of AI / ML product owners to develop and track technical development in an agile approach. To execute, this role will collaborate with a global team of data scientists, data engineers, and analytics professionals. Outcomes will support both client-facing and internal applications.
The ideal candidate possesses a broad skill set across five key categories: deep technical understanding for AI / ML solutions and application / data warehousing development, advanced project management, team management, strong stakeholder-facing communications, and knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry. Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience. Advanced degree not required but preferred.
What you’ll do
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Assist with executing operational strategies, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
+ Act as a business partner to put in place initiatives and start process improvements.
+ Partner with executive management to develop and implement strategies that optimize operational performance and support the business.
+ Direct the business operations activities. Develop partnerships with internal department management.
+ Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to act while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
+ Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
+ Significantly improves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
What you’ll need
+ Bachelor's Degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.
+ In-depth knowledge of a broad range of advanced analytics capabilities such as data science, GenerativeAI, agentic AI, Knowledge graphs, etc. Also in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
