Digital & Promotions Coordinator
If social media, digital campaigns and on-the-ground promotions excite you, this role is for you. As the Digital & Promotions Coordinator, you will be the voice, energy and visibility of Mukuru in Zambia. You'll bring our brand to life across social platforms, campaigns, competitions and events—connecting customers to Mukuru in ways that are relevant, engaging and memorable. This is a hands-on role for a creative doer who enjoys fast-paced environments, understands digital culture, and wants to make a visible impact in a growing market. Your Purpose To drive Mukuru's digital presence and promotional activity in Zambia by delivering engaging content, executing campaigns flawlessly, and supporting business growth through insight-led digital marketing. What You'll Be Doing Social Media & Content Creation + Create engaging, original and error-free content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter. + Ensure consistent posting and brand-aligned messaging across all platforms. + Support community management by responding to queries and engaging with customers where required. + Generate creative ideas to strengthen marketing campaigns and product launches. Digital Campaigns & Growth + Support the development and execution of the in-country digital marketing strategy. + Schedule, manage and track ‘always-on' campaigns. + Coordinate digital competitions from planning to execution and reporting. + Assist with email marketing campaigns to customers, partners and staff. Research, Reporting & Optimisation + Conduct regular research on digital trends, competitors and customer behaviour. + Track social media spend and campaign performance. + Prepare accurate reports and insights for internal stakeholders. + Identify opportunities to grow Mukuru's digital footprint in Zambia. Events & Promotions + Research venues, suppliers and promotional partners. + Coordinate logistics for events, activations and promotions. + Manage suppliers and troubleshoot on event days to ensure smooth delivery. + Handle client queries professionally during promotions. + Compile post-event evaluations to inform future improvements. Collaboration & Development + Work closely with Campaign Managers, Design and other business units. + Support the broader marketing team with ad-hoc requests. + Attend performance discussions and continuously build digital marketing skills. + Stay informed on remittance trends, new products and partner launches. What You'll Need Qualifications + Grade 12 (High School Certificate) – essential + Qualification or field of study in Marketing – advantageous Experience + Minimum 2 years' experience in Digital Marketing. + Experience in fintech or financial services is advantageous. Skills & Knowledge + Strong understanding of major social media platforms. + Content creation skills (static and video). + Basic website and email marketing knowledge. + Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills. + Detail-oriented with good time management.
