Create an inspirational, seamless, shopping experience to help drive brand perception, encourage basket building, & enhance conversionOwn site experience and curation, focused on commercial volume driving opportunities and maximizing trendsResearch and actively develop content and assortment opportunitiesSite Merchandising
Own the site assortment and merchandising strategyCurate assortment, researching selection gaps, and acquire new sellers to add to MakerPlaceDefine and execute onsite search, browse, pinning, & boostingDefine and execute Michael’s cross-sell opportunities across both online & in-storeLead promotional initiativesMeasure, analyze, and report how customers interact with the site across devices to drive strategic, actionable recommendations for conversionOther duties as assigned, including leading ad hoc projects as requested by leadership
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in merchandising, marketing, business, math, finance, economics or related field; or equivalent experienceMBA preferred or commensurate work experience4-7+ years of experience in site merchandising, ecommerce, business development, category management or marketingExperience in consumer-focused eCommerce environment, preferably in lifestyle industriesProficient in ecommerce, ecommerce marketplaces, and ecommerce services and softwareThorough understanding of desktop, mweb, and app technologiesDetailed understanding of eCommerce & content management systems and infrastructureExperience using reporting tools (SQL, Looker, etc)Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent Google Suite applicationsAbility to think creatively, strategically and technicallyStrong oral and written communication & interpersonal skillsMust be competent in Microsoft suite, including executive level presentationsExperience in using web analytics toolsApplicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
