Digital Engineering Software & Plugin Developer

Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a talented professional to join our team and fill a role on our Digital Engineering Tool Integration Team. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate should be capable of working independently as a contributor to software development team. He or she should exhibit expertise in:

Agile software development of client applications, with proficiency in Java and Python

Software Tool Extensibility: Integrating software applications with APIs

System/Software modelling via Cameo Systems Modeler or equivalent tools

Modeling software architecture using SysML and UML.

 

The candidate should also demonstrate a general understanding of or interest in gaining expertise in:

Systems Engineering processes, methods, and tools as applied to systems lifecycles

Software test and automation frameworks

Model-centric test executions including co-simulation and integrated modeling and simulation

Digital Engineering methodologies and tooling

Cloud based software architectures, AI/Mlops

 

In this role, the candidate would be collaborating with a software development team working in an agile workflow.  Day to day responsibilities would include the specification, architecting, and development of software applications including Camey Systems Modeler plugins, integrations and software extensibility of COTS software, web application development and cloud application development. Software architecture activities include the specification of software system architectures in SysML or UML language. Application development includes integration with commercial and cloud-based software through REST or Open APIS. The candidate would be responsible for the development and maintenance of pipelines for software build tools. The candidate should be capable of working independently to code and test software applications to written specifications, following the industry’s best standards and methodologies. Occasionally, customer facing demonstrations of software technology are required. Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Skills

Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar Data Science Field: BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7

Software Engineering Experience: Java, Python, Maven

Client/Desktop Application Development experience, including Teamwork Cloud WebApp

Software Architecture and Integration Experience, including OpenAPI and related cross-application integration approaches

Model Based Systems Engineering (3+ Years) - SysML, UML

Cloud Architecture and Solutions

Database and Web Database Administration and Integration, including Cassandra and other wide-table databases

Must be able to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

 

Preferred Experience

Cloud Security and Compliance

Pipeline development/management (GitLab, Azure DevOps)

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Min: $112,280.78 Max: $269,809.04
