An Innovation Labs Digital Assets Senior Quality Engineer must be a highly motivated and proactive hands-on engineer obsessed with quality (Quality Engineer), have a proven ability and experience working with enterprise applications within the financial services industry. The successful candidate will be part of the core team continuing to build our Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP). The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, proactive, highly technical, and resourceful team player who can comfortably work with a large team of highly motivated individuals within Citi’s larger software engineering network.
We are looking for a candidate who understands quality assurance of enterprise applications in a holistic way (functional, performance, reliability, resiliency, security). The successful individual must understand the value quality assurance across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with quality assurance of web3 applications is a plus.
What you will do (not limited to):
To create comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and specific test cases to validate software functionality and performanceTo conduct manual and automated testing for different interfaces (e.g., UI, API, Messaging) to find defects, ensuring software functions as intended and meets quality standardsTo identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring clear communication of issues and their resolutions to the development teamTo develop, maintain and manage automated test scripts and test frameworks improve testing efficiency and coverage (happy and unhappy paths)To develop, maintain and manage automated synthetic transactions to validate and monitor functionality to identify issues before users doTo know and properly use best and common practices, and design patterns for web3 applicationsTo work closely with software developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements, discuss test findings, and resolve issuesTo contribute to the ongoing enhancement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of testingTo monitor the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is maintained at every stage, from design to deliveryTo properly use collaborative tools to manage and deliver work in a distributed teamTo contribute and maintain tech documents for code and applications built and maintainedTo be a team player and properly communicate in a distributed teamWhat we'll need from you:
Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering; MS or PhD in computer science, or related discipline10 or more years of experience in enterprise and web application quality assuranceExperience assessing and testing for functional and non-functional requirementsExperience with types of testing like unit testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, etc.Experience automating tests for different interfaces (e.g., UI, API, Messaging)Experience with testing data tools and testing data attributes (e.g., diversity)Experience with applications developed using Java (Backend), AngularJS (Frontend)Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit and/or TestNGExperience with common automation and CI/CD tools for JavaExperience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, GatlingExperience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, Spring Boot ActuatorExperience with observability tools like Grafana, Kibana, AppDynamicsNice to haves:
