Roles and Responsibilities
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning, development, and transition of technologies from concept to products and/or services for GE HealthCare businesses and customers. You will:
Design digital signal processing and control systems for mixed-signal ASICs enabling advanced healthcare applications.Participate in all phases of ASIC development: architecture design, process selection, circuit design and simulation, validation, and post-fabrication testing.Explore new system architectures to meet challenging system requirements.Support transition from lab to product introduction.Work with external vendors in execution layout, fabrication, and production test.Effectively communicate results by preparing written reports and making presentations that describe analyses and solutions Connect the organization to the latest technology developments and trends in industry Contribute to proposals for internal programs as well as government agenciesRequired Qualifications
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific fieldHardware design experience in VHDL and/or Verilog digital hardware description languagesExperience with synthesis of Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL, optimizing power, area, and timingDemonstrated experience in generating timing constraints for physical implementation, including timing closure of multiple clock systemsExperience developing testbenches for functional verification of large digital systems.Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY on a hybrid work schedule (in office Tuesday through Thursday).Desired Characteristics
PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.Experience with mixed-signal ASIC development and design.Proficiency in MATLAB, or similar, programming for signal processing and data analysisFamiliar with Verilog-AMS testbench coding and simulationFamiliar with digital logic gates at transistor-level. Comfortable building custom digital circuits with both custom and standard cell library logic gates.Familiar with Lint and Logic Equivalency Check tools and methods.Expertise in signal processing and/or DSP design.Familiar with Real Number model writing for both digital and analog circuits and systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability and desire to work in a team environment.For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $120,000.00-$180,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
