This position will lead the MPCA compliance with digital accessibility standards and digital content (documents, websites, applications, systems, and videos). This position will ensure compliance with Minnesota Statutes, §363A.42 and 16E.03 subd. 9 (the State Accessibility Standard), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Titles I and II. The incumbent will develop and implement digital accessibility governance and work with leadership to set policy standard for the MPCA. In addition to serving as the primary digital accessibility coordinator at the MPCA, this position will also play a role in supporting the development, implementation, and continued administration of a Language Access program as a part of this position. **Minimum Qualifications** Two years advanced professional experience designing and developing technical documentation, policy manuals, user-guides, instructional/training materials and digital communications in accordance with accessibility best practices. Advanced professional experience includes a demonstrated progressive level of responsibility and leadership experience. (Advanced professional-level experience is equivalent to Planner Senior State, Environmental Specialist 3, State Program Administrator Senior, or equivalent level work). Technical content development, digital publishing, web development, and using multimedia formats in accordance with accessibility best practices. Understanding of project management strategies and methodologies. Skilled at using MS Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams and SharePoint. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will not sponsor applicants for work visas including F-1 STEM OTP extensions. Ability to make lead worker decisions related to public content. Certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, IAAP Website , the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies, (CPACC) level. Familiarity with State of Minnesota human and health care programs along with knowledge of Section 508 of Rehabilitation Act and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) & W3C/WCAG. Use of Adobe Creative Cloud for document design (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Strong human relations and communication skills; communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; respond openly to requests and concerns. **Physical Requirements** Requires occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as file folders, ledgers, and small equipment. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. **Additional Requirements** Position duties may require travel but driving is not a minimum qualification or essential function of this position.
