This position will have a primary work location of Preston. The incumbent may be required to travel to the central office as needed. This position is designated as part-time. The work schedule will include at least 40 hours per two-week periods and may include additional hours, based on business needs. This position is initially eligible for partial employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits. This position will assess residents' nutritional needs; develop, implement, evaluate and follow-up on nutritional care plans; develop special diets to meet residents' nutritional needs; and educate residents about special dietary needs and selecting foods to meet optimal nutrition. Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure overall health maintenance, food service and nutrition compliance with food codes and regulations to ensure quality service and nutritious meals are provided for residents, staff, and guests. **Minimum Qualifications** **_To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume/application clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position._** + Current licensure as a Dietitian with the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice AND current registration from the Commission on Dietetics Registration. + Ability to assess nutritional needs; prescribe medical diets, provide medical nutrition therapy, and develop individualized care plans. + Knowledge and experience in documenting in an electronic health record. + Human relations skills sufficient to counsel and educate clients/residents on healthy diet and eating habits as individuals or within a group. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and present training and communicate to a diverse staff and population. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience as a Dietitian in a long term care setting. + Knowledge of diseases and disabilities of a geriatric population. + Experience working with Veterans. + Experience working with care teams. **Additional Requirements** This position requires successful completion of the following: + Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists.
