Role Summary\n
The Dietitian performs comprehensive nutritional assessments and collaborates with the interdisciplinary medical team to prescribe, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.\n
\n
Roles and Responsibilities\n\nServe as a department representative as part of the hospital clinical care team\nAdhere to all local, state, and federal safety and sanitation regulations\nDevelop and implement menus that align with clinical and nutritional standards\nEducate patients on prescribed diets and nutritional supplements related to diagnoses\nProvide recommendations for enteral and parenteral nutrition support\nAssess patients for malnutrition and develop appropriate nutrition interventions and care plans\nServe as a subject matter expert (SME) in food service management software\nProvide inpatient nutritional counseling\nDemonstrate flexibility by assuming additional appropriate responsibilities as needed\n\n

Required Skills and Experience\n\nCurrent licensure as a Registered Dietitian\nBachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics\n\n

Preferred Skills and Experience\n\nMaster's degree\nOne (1) year of experience in an acute care setting\n\n

Location, Travel and Shift Requirements\n\nOnsite- Rotating to cover both locations as needed: \n\nCayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850\nSchuyler Hospital: 220 Steuben Street, Montour Falls, NY 14865\n\n\nShift: Flex schedule, days, evenings and possible weekends.\n50% Travel expected for this role between locations noted above as needed\n\n

Pay Range Disclosure\n
Standard rate of $33.66 - $43.24 per hour\n
