**Job Title: Dietary Cook** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled dietary cooks to join our team, working in shifts from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm and 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The role includes preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch, and Special/Catered Events. Every other weekend work is required. **Responsibilities** + Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods. + Read and follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing food items. + Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte or operate a grill station. + Attend work and report for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity. + Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of cook experience. + Ability to follow recipes accurately. + Experience in food preparation, tray line, cooking, and food production. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable. + Nurture a healthy and safe working environment for all. + 1 - 2 years of previous related experience is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** This role offers opportunities for career advancement, a climate-controlled environment, and good benefits upon permanent employment. **Work Environment** You will be working in a hospital setting.
