The Brook Hospital Dupont is seeking a PRN Dietary Aide/ Food Services Associate to join our team:
The Food Services Associate is responsible for the following: Assisting with preparing the salad bar, if applicable, maintaining and adequate supply of beverages, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times, assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies, operating the dish machine, assisting the cook as required and stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required and stocking cafeteria with needed items.
Qualifications
Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safetyObtain the tray count by unit for each breakfast, lunch and dinner meal. Assist the cook in preparing each meal traySet up the salad bar and prepare vegetables, salads and other salad bar items in a neat and orderly fashion (a.m. diet side)Set up dessert barEnsure the salad bar displays an attractive and tasteful appearanceWashes dishes and maintain the dish room area in a clean and orderly fashionUtilize portion control guidelines when preparing foodRecord dish machine temperatures on daily log after each meal, and record sanitizer strength in the morning dailyFollow cleaning assignments of the dining room and food preparation area dailyMaintain an adequate supply of beverages and ensure coffee pots remain fullInteract well with patients in the serving line providing good customer service and offer assistance when neededEncourage a harmonious working relationship in the department as well as with all employees of the facilityReport any equipment malfunction immediately to the Food Service Cook/Supervisor, Cook or Dietary DirectorClean tables and chairs after lunch and mop cafeteria floor at approximately 1:30 p.m.Ensure coffee and paper goods orders for units and departments are doneMake sure all units are stocked with milk and snacks each day, including HS stacks for special dietsOther duties as assigned and weekend work is often required
